Green light, let’s go: Assetto Corsa Competition is finally ready to burn the track of the next-gen. The free update for PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, in fact, is available starting today (with a slight delay compared to the schedule which spoke of a release already by 2021).
And if before it already seemed well-bodied graphically, now the visual impact is even greater. The improvements mainly concern the “engine”, which can now propel the simulation experience of Assetto Corsa Competizione with a resolution of 4K and a frame rate of 60fps. The spectacular dedicated tofree next-gen update that you find below helps to get an idea.
ONLINE RACES FOR UP TO 30 PLAYERS
And there is also one novelty that expands the licensed car fleetbringing it to 25 total vehicles we are talking about BMW M4 GT3. For the rest, the experience remains that of the title which over time has established itself as a point of reference in the sim-racing panorama, with an attention to realism that is now coupled with the photorealism of atmospheric conditions, of light (with races nocturnal), animations created with motion capture and is also enveloping in terms of sound with a multi-channel audio sampling that does justice to the roar of the racing cars available.
Each car can be customized in a deep and detailed way both mechanically and aesthetically, with the addition of 60 additional liveries and much more. Once you have set up your car, then, you can take it to eat the asphalt both in single player (Career, Championship and Free Play) and in multiplayer in modes such as Sprint, Endurance and the 24 hours of Spa challenging up to a maximum of 30 players: an increase allowed by the power of next-gen consoles.
For those who have not yet bought the title, the digital versions are already available for download, while the physical ones for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S will be available starting tomorrow, Thursday 24 February. Those who purchase the physical “Day One Edition” will also receive the DLC 2020 GT WORLD CHALLENGE PACK which includes the following contents:
