Two of the recognized leaders of the crypto industry, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder and developer of Ethereum and Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and crypto investor, will be among the leaders and senior advisers of the Dogecoin Foundation, to guide the cryptocurrency towards a promising future.
This Tuesday, the Dogecoin Foundation, an organization created to support the development of Dogecoin, ad that Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk will be among its core members along with other renowned experts in the crypto industry, such as Max Keller and Billy Markus, to give a renewed focus to the Dogecoin network and its DOGE token, the popular cryptomeme that has earned millions of fans this year.
DOGE currently ranks 7th among the cryptocurrencies most important in the market, with a capitalization of more than 38,700 million dollars.
The objective of the Dogecoin Foundation, as well Explain, is not to control Dogecoin, but to support the construction of a promising future for the popular cryptocurrency. As senior leaders and advisers, Vitalik Buterinco-founder and developer of ethereum, Jared Birchall, legal and financial advisor representing Elon Musk, Max Keller, developer and technical advisor of Dogecoin Core and Billy (Shibetoshi Nakamoto), founder of the OG Dogecoin, will be responsible for promoting the network and cryptocurrency in strategic areas. Other Foundation participants such as Gary Lachance, Jens Wiechers, Michi Lumin, Ross Nicoll, Timothy Stebbing and Soma Green will be in charge of developing Dogecoin and monitoring compliance with the principles and values expressed in its manifest.
The new and experienced members of the crypto industry joining the development of the network will reinvigorate the Dogecoin project and give it a fresh approach, which will grow the cryptocurrency exponentially in the next decade, the Foundation said.

Dogecoin, preparing for the crypto revolution
After becoming a high-value cryptocurrency, so much so that it is among the top 10 in the market, there is much to be expected from Dogecoin in the coming years.
The cryptocurrency, which was born in 2013, went from being a simple “cryptocurrency joke” to consolidating itself as one of the most famous and revolutionary projects in the crypto industry today. However, we must not forget that it was created as a meme, which is why, at the moment, it does not have a roadmap or significant technological improvements that guarantee its permanence in the future, and that much of its extraordinary growth and revaluation is due to the media push.
But, to change this, the Dogecoin Foundation wants to strengthen and build new solid foundations that will allow the development of Dogecoin Core to be promoted and accelerated over time. The Foundation plans to launch new projects that complement the current Core Wallet, as well as APIs that allow faster integration with financial, social and charitable projects that wish to use Dogecoin in the future. The creation of a roadmap is also among the plans of the new revitalized Foundation.
“We believe Dogecoin’s success is due to broad global adoption and utility, and we intend to focus on projects that increase Dogecoin acceptance from a grassroots level.”
If something must be recognized, it is that the demand for DOGE has been exponential in recent months and that the cryptocurrency has gained great acceptance and popularity as a means of payment and exchange of value in various parts of the world. Therefore, the integration of Vitalik Buterin and other crypto experts to the development of the project will take DOGE to the next level.
The Foundation announced that it will hire specialized blockchain software developers and engineers, as well as staff aligned with the vision of the project, through grants and sponsorships.
DOGE “To the Moon”
Elon Musk, for his part, has been closely linked to Dogecoin since 2019, even being named by the crypto community as the “Doge Father”. Musk has plans to literally take DOGE to the Moon. The Tesla-owning tycoon will launch a DOGE-funded space mission next year, through his other company SpaceX. The space mission will also take advertising into space through a new type of billboard financed with cryptocurrency.
Another major promoter of Dogecoin, who is not part of the Foundation, is Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Cuban recently referred to DOGE as the “strongest cryptocurrency” in the industry, powered by a large community of users.
