Is called National Youth Card and it is a new solution designed by the government to help aged children between 18 and 35 years old to face their daily life by taking advantage of a whole series of services and benefits.
What is the National Youth Card
In essence, it is about a free virtual card through which young people will have the opportunity to access goods and services ranging in various sectors, from wellness to sport, from transport to culture.
The National Youth Card can be used to take advantage of discounts and concessions of various kinds and thus try to obtain some autonomy from their parents in case they cannot already count on a stable income: the idea, in practice, is to give children a help to face the world with 360 support °.
Who can apply for the card and how long it lasts
The National Youth Card is an initiative promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service and is aimed at all Italian and European citizens residing in Italy aged between 18 and 35 years.
The National Youth Card is valid online and throughout the country can be downloaded directly through the IO app and allows you to access the many services and promotions included, both online and in “physical” stores.
Its duration is linked to age and therefore it will be available until the age of thirty-five.
How do you download
To download the National Youth Card you must use the IO app (available on Google Play Store and onApp Store) and log in with your digital identity SPID or with the Electronic Identity Card (CIE 3.0).
At this point it is possible to request it by going to the IO Portfolio, pressing “Add” and selecting “Discounts, bonuses and other initiatives”, then choosing “National Youth Card” and completing the steps. Once the National Youth Card has been activated, it can be viewed in the Portfolio.
From the details of their National Youth Card, users will be able to access the list of exhibitors and institutions that adhere to this initiative and choose the promotions and discounts they prefer from time to time.
How to take advantage of the discounts
With the National Youth Card it will be possible to take advantage of discounts both online and in “physical” activities (think, for example, of shops, gyms or museums).
When shopping at physical establishments, simply open the IO app and show your card at the checkout at checkout to get the discount.
For online purchases, on the other hand, users will have to look for the discount they wish to use and copy the relative code, to be pasted in the discount field of the merchant’s site. In the case of merchants who do not require the codes, the IO app sends users to the dedicated page to take advantage of the discount.
Finally, young people between the ages of 18 and 30 can also use the National Youth Card at exhibitors who adhere to the EYCA circuit: for purchases at physical facilities it will be sufficient to open the IO app and show the card at the cashier while for those online it will be necessary to check the access mode on the EYCA website.
