War Russia Ukraine and eCommerce: warning of delays on shipments

It is not just the news in the mass media that makes us understand that things are not going well. But to worry there are some notorious eCommerce warnings that are alerting users to possible delays on shipments precisely because of the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Basically there are two eCommerce which, for a few days, have been warning users with an official press release on their pages about possible delays on deliveries. eBay And Unieuro they have led the way because they are aware that the protests by truckers and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine are having long-term consequences.

eBayin fact, he talked about both of them and in his official press release – reported below – he explained to users why the shipments in these days could suffer delays. Regarding shipments to and from Ukraine or Russia he explained:

Due to the ongoing conflict situation, shipping services to Ukraine have been suspended. Packages currently in transit will be automatically returned to the sender or placed in storage for delivery on a date to be defined. Shipments to Russia may be suspended shortly. For the moment, we recommend postponing shipments to this destination, pending official communications from the carriers.

Obviously, the colossus of eCommercehe also cited the problem of the protests of the truck drivers which basically concerns Italy:

Due to the ongoing protests by some local haulier organizations, from 24 February 2022, until further notice, the couriers are preparing every measure in order to minimize the impact on customers, but they foresee that strong delays in the execution of the service. Therefore we suggest to organize the shipments, taking into account what is described, postponing the sending. We apologize for the inconvenience beyond our control.

Unieuro and the protests of road hauliers

Unlike eBay, Unieuro he only mentioned the protests of the hauliers among the causes of possible delays in shipments that users may encounter in these days. On the Home Page of his site dedicated toeCommerce he wrote:

Due to protests from some carriers, order deliveries may be delayed in the affected areas.
