In recent days, some interesting details have emerged in the second beta of Android 12L related to Google’s first foldable smartphone, until now known as Google Pixel Fold.
Well, this device, which should have a form factor reminiscent of the OPPO Find N, could arrive on the market with a different name: according to what was revealed by a source close to the Mountain View giant the company’s projects would launch it with the name of “Google Pixel Notepad“.
It seems that this is not the first name chosen by the Google team and there are no guarantees that before the official presentation there will be no further changes.
Name aside, there are other really interesting aspects on this new folding smartphone, such as the form factor on which Google would have decided to focus, more similar to that of OPPO Find N than to that of the Samsung Galaxy Fold series. The following images, found in Android 12L, offer us a preview of what we might expect:
Google Pixel Notepad’s price may come as a surprise
But there is another very interesting indiscretion that always comes from this source and which concerns the possible price of Google Pixel Notepad: it seems that the Mountain View giant has plans to launch it at a competitive and certainly lower figure than that required to buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G ($ 1,799 in the United States).
As for availability, Google’s first foldable smartphone is expected to be launched initially exclusively in the United States, to then reach other markets in the following months.
Probably for this model the Mountain View giant is not planning global marketing and this could also be justified by the need to understand what kind of reception a device of this type could receive.
