A few days after the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S22 serieslet’s go back to talking about some small problem that is affecting the new smartphones from Samsung and in this case in relation to Android Auto.
In fact, according to a new thread opened in these hours on Reddit, the reports of those who have had serious connection problems between the new Samsung devices and the Google infotainment system are multiplying.
Samsung Galaxy S22 has a few too many problems with Android Auto
Furthermore, from what is reported by users, the problem concerns both the connection with the cable and wirelessly: in this case it seems that the dashboard display shows a simple black screen even if it would seem possible to issue touch commands. “I have a car with a Pioneer head unit. All previous phones work fine, I just upgraded to an S22 Ultra and when I plug in the phone I am prompted on the phone to complete the setup, even though the dash unit stays black and nothing happens – declares a user affected by the problem. Other phones work fine, I also tried other cables. I have reinstalled Android Auto and brought the phone to factory settings numerous times. “
Unfortunately, the South Korean giant has not yet released any official comments about the problem, even if most likely it is already aware of the bug considering the wide media echo and the criticisms that numerous users are addressing it on social channels. Hopefully, this bug will be quickly identified and fixed with a hotfix.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series also received its first software update with the February security patches, but there does not appear to be any fixes for the display flickering or the reported issues with Android Auto. We look forward to further news of which we will certainly give you an account as soon as they are reported.
