The schematic image leaked related to the new iPhone 14 Pro shows the actual dimensions of the front panel design, consisting of a pill and a hole instead of the elusive notch.
There have been a lot of rumors about what design changes Apple might have in store for this year’s flagship, particularly with regards to the notch. While initial reports had indicated that the notch would be completely abandoned in favor of a new perforation design, more recent reports indicated that Apple was planning a “hole + pill” design instead.
iPhone 14 Pro: screen image revealed
A newly leaked schematic posted on Weibo claims to offer a more precise look at this panel, showing the actual dimensions of the new element.
The photo attached above was posted by a user on Weibo and claims to show a more detailed schematic of the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max. The post was also shared in a YouTube video posted Saturday by Jon Prosser, who claims to “to be was able to independently verify”And confirmed that accurately represents the design Apple will use.
As noted by Apple Trackwhat Apple appears to be doing here is “take the components of the notch and apply them directly into the display, eliminating any waste areas that do not include cameras or sensors“. While the change is sure to be controversial, in theory it should be less intrusive than the notch itself.
Apple’s plans for a hole + pill design were first reported earlier this year by the analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young.
The iPhone 14 range will reportedly be available in two different screen sizes: 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. The expectation is that Apple will offer standard and “Pro” variants of each screen size, which could suggest a similar lineup as follows: Standard, Standard Max, Pro, Pro Max.
One important thing to keep in mind is that only Pro iterations will boast this iconic design. The other two models, on the other hand, will still have the notch.
As always, the new line-up is expected to be presented in September. Stay connected to always be updated on this.
