After the presentation of OPPO Find X5 Series at the MWC in Barcelona, the Chinese giant has also removed the veils from the tablet OPPO Pad we had talked about several times following a long trail of rumors, leaks, rumors and official teasers. Well, OPPO is finally ready to compete with the big names in the industry to grab the title of best mid-range Android tablet.
From the design point of view, we find no differences from the leaks of recent days: the tablet consists of a chassic unibody in satin aluminum with the company’s branding covering the vertical section on which the main camera is also positioned.
OPPO Pad: features and design
Fortunately, our fears about overly flashy bezels were unfounded: the tablet offers a frame-to-display ratio of 86.3%. On the sides there are the physical keys to lock / unlock the device and to manage the volume through a simple rocker. The display is an 11-inch LCD unit with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with 275 PPI, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1500: 1 contrast, HDR10 support and 100% coverage of the P3 range. The company has evidently avoided mounting an AMOLED panel to save on manufacturing costs, although it would have been a plus for usability as it guarantees more vivid colors and deeper blacks.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, certainly not the most powerful in the mid-range but still able to guarantee more than satisfactory performance, accompanied by a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. The 8360 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 33 W is rather generous. From the multimedia point of view, in addition to a 13 MP main sensor and an 8 MP front sensor, the company has inserted four speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi support. -Res Audio, multi-touch gesture support and much more.
Furthermore, as some leaks had anticipated, the company also unveiled two accessories sold separately: a Bluetooth keyboard and OPPO Pencil, a stylus with support for 4096 pressure levels, wireless charging and 13 hours of autonomy.
