Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, here are the new games in the series for Switch

They are called Pokémon Scarlet And Pokémon Violet and are the new video games in the series announced this Sunday by Nintendo and Game Freak at the event Pokémon Presents. The two titles were unveiled on the sidelines of the presentation and will be released later this year exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

The announcement trailer, which you can admire attached to this article, shows us several classic Pokémon from the series, but also introduces three new Starters as yet unnamed. The games will then serve to present the awaited ninth generation of the most famous virtual monsters in the world to fans.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, what we know at the moment

Not so much information has been provided for now by the Japanese developers, but it is certain that the three Starter will reflect the classic scheme of the series, featuring three Pokémon of grass, fire and water type. As usual, we will be asked to choose between one of these as a companion to start our new adventure in a region currently unknown.

For the rest, the first footage of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet showed us both day and night game sessions, as well as extremely varied and well-kept settings as the franchise has accustomed us well.

It was the only real unpublished announcement of today’s Pokémon Presents, confirming the rumors that had already anticipated the name of the two new games. There was also talk of Detective Pikachu 2at least according to the job offers published by the developer Creatures Inc, but for the moment no official announcement has arrived.
