Grenergy Renovables, the renewable energy producer and specialist in the development, construction and management of photovoltaic, wind and storage projects, had a turnover of 220 million euros in 2021 -94% more than a year before-, for the sale of energy and of photovoltaic projects (103 MW), its main lines of business, as reported on Monday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
Specifically, the company entered 20 million euros for the sale of energy of its wind farms in operation and increased its income from the transfer of wind farms by 77%. Likewise, the billing obtained by its services division increased by 47%. All this led him to add an EBITDA of 41.4 million -75% more-, and a net profit of 16 million euros.
Likewise, last year Grenergy invested 198 million euros in the development and construction of solar and wind projects such as the Escuderos photovoltaic park in Cuenca and different distribution projects and PMGDs in Chile and Colombia. On the other hand, it announced the entry into the United States renewable energy market, creating a platform with high growth potential.
All in all, the company’s global pipeline increased by 4 GW in the last year until accounting for 10 GW in various stages of development distributed in the ten countries where it operates between the European, North American and Latin American markets.
Bet on storage
In addition, anticipating the revolution it represents for the renewable energy sector, the company seeks to build a leadership position around battery storage. To do this, it already has a specific business unit in place that is developing more than 50 projects that add up to a capacity close to 5GWh.
On the other hand, in terms of ESG, the company has met the objectives set in its 2021 ESG Action Plan, with active measures in terms of governance and governance structure, risk management or corporate strategy. It has also been recognized as a leading company in ESG risk management in its sector, with the ESG Industry TOP Rated 2022 distinction awarded by Sustainalytics, among more than 4,000 companies.
