The Slovak company DEEP has successfully modified one iPhone 12 Pro Max from Apple incorporating a USB-C port in the device. The new USB-C port is something that many of us have come to expect on an iPhone by the company, also because, for some time, a large part of the apple product range has come with the option of USB-C global connectivity for both charging. than for connectivity.

The DEEP company has provided a detailed video detailing all the steps taken to turn the iPhone 12 Max Pro into a Type C compatible device.
The modification process began with the opening of the device and the removal of the flexible cable of the Lightning port. The necessary measures are taken so that the USB-C connector and the housing could be positioned correctly. A flex cable designed with the USB-C port and implementing an original Mfi chip was soldered into the flex assembly and reinstalled on the 12 Pro Max. The housing was 3D printed to allow the new port to fit snugly.
The new 12 Pro Max USB-C has been put to the test and is fully operational in both device charging and connectivity. Works with iTunes and the phone’s internal memory connects seamlessly to the Mac. As for charging, the modified phone charges properly with an original Apple charger via the USB-C to C cable. No mention is made of potential device drawbacks. in the absence of its original Lightning connector.
