Sao Paulo, Feb 22 (.).- The index, the main reference of the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange, advanced 1.04% this Tuesday and at the end of the session it stood at 121,880 points, interrupting a negative sequence of three days down, according to the consolidated data at the end of the day.
The Brazilian market, aware of the political and diplomatic tensions in Ukraine, positively assimilated the sanctions imposed by the United States on Russia, which were not considered severe or sufficient to aggravate the situation.
The São Paulo parquet registered a financial volume of 29,706 million reais (about 5,882 million dollars) and totaled more than 3.7 million transactions.
Always on positive ground, the largest Latin American stock market by traded volume moved between a minimum score of 111,727 integers, at the opening of operations, and a maximum of 113,314 units, with a momentary jump of 1.42%.
After a decrease of 1.02% in the previous day, the indicator added another 1,166 units to its accumulated score this Tuesday.
The gains were led by the ordinary papers of the conglomerate of clothing brands Grupo Soma, which climbed 7.32%, followed by those of the network of educational centers Cogna (+7.05%) and the food giant Minerva (+6.16%).
On the other hand, the losses in the stock market were led by the unit shares of Banco Inter (-9.62%), seconded by the ordinary shares of the chain of stores and electronic commerce network Lojas Americanas (-5.40%) and of the aeronautical manufacturer Embraer (SA:) (-4.63%).
The most traded titles on the day were the preferential ones of the state oil company Petrobras (NYSE:) (-0.32%).
In the foreign exchange market, the dollar depreciated 1.09% against the real and ended the day trading at 5,050 reais for purchase and 5,051 for sale at the Brazilian commercial exchange rate.
