This War of Mine, the act of solidarity for Ukraine that comes from the video game that raises awareness against the war
First launched in 2014, the title is a management survival game set during a war conflict, inspired by the siege of Sarajevo.
The purpose of the production, unlike other war games, is to to sensitize the user about the horrors and atrocities of war from the point of view of the population. The player’s goal becomes simply to survive the conflict, using tools and materials that can be collected in the game world.
The experience is divided into several days, in turn divided into “Day” and “Night”. During diurnal phases, we must manage the needs of the characters we control, who have found refuge in a dilapidated house. There night instead it will see us go outside, looking for the materials we will need the next day. It is here that you will be able to meet other characters, learn about their stories, decide whether to help them or leave them to their fate: not all of them are friendly and distrust of others becomes an aspect that should not be underestimated.
This War of Mine is available for PC, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, an appeal to the world comes from the Ukrainian developers.
