Fresh from the great success of Peacemaker, HBO Max series already renewed for a second season, John Cena will again work for Warner Bros in an entirely new guise. In fact, he will star in Coyote vs Acme, a film halfway between live action and CG set in the colorful world of Looney Tunes.

The film is based on a humorous article titled Coyote vs Acme, released in 1990, which sees Wile Coyote filing a lawsuit against ACME over allegedly defective machines and that they never allowed him to capture Road Runner (Beep-Beep for Italian fans).
John Cena will play Wile’s former boss and he will be defended in court by an expert lawyer, while the Coyote will have to get help from a figure not particularly expert in the matter.
First appeared in the Warner Bros. cartoon Looney Tunes titled, in its original language, Fast and Furry-ous the September 17, 1949Wile E. Coyote has never managed to catch, and eat, Beep Beep, relying on elaborate contraptions supplied, in fact, by the Acme Company.
Wile E. Coyote has also appeared in numerous cartoon episodes of Bugs Bunny in which, true to himself, he tries to catch and eat the iconic rabbit, failing miserably.
Directed by Dave Green (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows), Coyote vs Acme will be released in theaters on July 21, 2023. We remind you that the Looney Tunes returned to the cinema recently with Space Jam: A New Legacy, sequel to the first, historic film with Michael Jordan.
Coyote Vs Acme will be the fourth major Looney Tunes film of the last two decades, following the success of the 1996 Space Jamthe film Looney Tunes Back in Action of the 2003.
