A few days after the official presentation of the OnePlus 10 Pro on the Net some interesting rumors have emerged about an upcoming smartphone that the Chinese manufacturer is preparing to launch on the market: we are talking about the OnePlus 10R.
Recall that at the moment OnePlus 10 Pro is only available in China while the global variant should be launched at the beginning of the second quarter, followed by two other models, namely the OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10R.
What do we know at the moment of the OnePlus 10R
As for the OnePlus 10, in recent weeks the rumors have become insistent that the smartphone will be able to count on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor but, according to the latest rumors, OnePlus would have decided to change its programs and instead implement this CPU in OnePlus 10R.
MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is a processor that has already piqued the curiosity of many insiders, as it has the potential to compete with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, thanks to the same configuration with Cortex X2, A710, and A510 cores and with a Mali GPU- Ten-core G710.
And the reason why OnePlus would have decided to use MediaTek Dimensity 9000 in OnePlus 10R and not OnePlus 10 concerns support for 5G connectivity offered by such a CPU, which is not suitable for the US market and, therefore, the smartphone will probably be limited to Asian countries.
Among the other features of the OnePlus 10R, there should be an AMOLED display with a refresh rate at 120Hz, at least 8GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard memory, and a battery with fast charging support.
Also according to rumors, OnePlus plans to launch the OnePlus 10R at the end of the second quarter of 2022, initially in China and India. We look forward to finding out in which price range the smartphone will be offered and if it will also arrive in European markets.
