It’s official: James Spader confirmed the renewal of the tenth season of The Blacklist during the The Tonight Showeven before the release of the episodes of the ninth season, which will in fact be broadcast on NBC starting from February 25 after the break made to make room for the Olympic Games.
Confirmed the 10th season of The Blacklist
The series The Blacklist premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. In addition to James Spader in the title role, the series stars Diego Klattenhoff, Amier, Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn and Harry Lennix.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television and Universal Television in association with Davis Entertainment, The Blacklist tells about Raymond Reddington, one of the most wanted criminals by the FBI who surprisingly constitutes himself to the agency by offering to provide information on every criminal he has dealt with: as a clause to the agreement, he asks to have his only contact in Elizabeth Keen, a young analyst on her first day of service at the Bureau. This apparently incomprehensible request forces the agency to make “Lizzie” an integral part of a secret operational unit, which from that moment begins to deal essentially with the cases provided by “Red”.
The series, now in its ninth season, was followed this year by 5.1 million viewers every week, with a rating in the 18-49 demographic target of 0.6; numbers slightly lower than those of last year, or 5.5 million, 0.7. Season 9 looked very different, both in front of and behind the camera. A few days before the show’s season 8 finale in June, news broke that star Megan Boone had planned to leave the show.. The episodes are set two years after Liz’s death and showed Raymond Reddington and members of the FBI task force now divided, as their lives changed in unexpected ways.
At the moment no information has leaked on the possible plot of the tenth season: it is therefore not known if this could be the last. So we just have to wait. In the meantime, get the DVD with the eighth season on Amazon!
