After numerous delays, Faraday Future has finally revealed the intent of production to the world FF 91 at their factory in Hanford, California. Essentially a pre-production model, this FF 91 closely resembles the electric crossover presented in 2017 and originally slated to go into production the following year.
The company did not spread many details of the vehicle, but reiterated that this featured “many components with production specifications”. Faraday Future added that they will build different vehicles of this type in the coming months for testing, validation and final certification. Assuming everything goes smoothly, the FF 91 is expected to go into production in the third quarter of the year.
The Faraday Future Vice President of Production, Matt Tall, noted that this iteration is the closest to the FF 91 production model we’ve seen to date, stating that the FF 91 will be the “first truly luxury electric vehicle to hit the market.” In spite of Tesla, Mercedes and BMW.
The FF 91 uses a variable platform architecture and will be equipped with a 130 kWh for an autonomy of approx 608 km. The company also said the vehicle will be equipped with a three-engine four-wheel drive system with rear torque vectorization and a combined power of 1,050 hp that will allow you to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 2.39 seconds.
As for the interior, the FF 91 should have up to 11 screens with a total viewing area of over 100 inches. Other highlights will include NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats, a “light speed” internet connection and generous 1,242mm rear seat legroom.
