Not only OPPO Find X5 and Find X5 Pro: the Chinese house also officially unveils OPPO Find X5 Lite, the “base” model of the new series of Android smartphones. Actually the name could be deceiving, since it is by no means a low-end device: let’s go together to find out.

OPPO Find X5 Lite certainly incorporates some traits of the older brothers, but it stands out rather clearly starting from its heart. No Snapdragon: the smartphone can in fact count on the SoC Mediatek Dimensity 900 octa core (with ARM Mali-G68 MC4), flanked by 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal memory.
The display is an AMOLED from 6.43 in Full-HD + resolution with refresh rate up to 90 Hz, sampling rate up to 180 Hz and integrated fingerprint sensor. Protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it offers a pixel density of 409 ppi, 16.7 million colors, 100% DCI-P3 / 135% sRGB (in Vivid mode) and a screen-to-surface ratio of 90.80%.
The photographic sector of the smartphone offers a triple rear camera and a single 32 MP front camera (f / 2.4, FoV 85 °, 5P lenses): on the back we have 64 MP main sensor (f / 1.7, FoV 80.5 °, AF) , 8MP wide-angle (f / 2.25, FoV 118.9 °, 5P lenses) and 8MP macro (f / 2.4, FoV 88.8 °, 3P and FF lenses).
Thanks to the configuration of the camera and the imaging functions enhanced by Artificial Intelligence, according to the manufacturer, users can obtain professional portraits thanks to the appropriate Portrait mode and video portraits Bokeh Flare. Also available are panorama, expert, night, time-lapse video, slow motion and Dual view modes, which allow you to shoot movies with front and rear cameras at the same time. The maximum supported resolution is 4K (30 fps), with EIS video stabilization at 1080p (60 and 30 fps).
For gaming, HyperBoost’s AI Frame Rate stabilizer, which prevents loss of frame rates, and the Quick Startup function come into play, to quickly return to the starting point. The multiple cooling system was created by combining multiple layers of graphite sheets, a liquid cooling system and Borazon, aerospace-like insulation. Five sensors on board for real-time temperature detection.

At the level of design the smartphone differs from the other models of the series both in the front and in the back. On the front we have a flat glass with a slightly thicker lower edge: the hole for the front camera remains in place, also in this case moved to the left side. On the back, in addition to the changes brought about by the Starlight Black and Startrails Blue colors, we can see a more “classic” photographic module, rectangular in shape.
It is inspired by the “meteor showers” and has a design elaborated by LDI (Laser Direct Imaging). The millions of pyramid-shaped crystal structures create a refined texture ideal for not retaining fingerprints.
Prices and release of OPPO Find X5 Lite
OPPO Find X5 Lite will be available in Italy in the next few days at price recommended to 499.99 euros in the Starlight Black and Startrails Blue colors. Like the older brothers, it can count on some launch promotions: by purchasing the smartphone from 2 March to 24 April 2022, OPPO Enco Free 2, OPPO Band Sport and a cover will be included, for a total value of 207 euros.
In addition, both with the pre-order from 25 February to 17 March and with the purchase from 17 March to 24 April 2022, by ordering it on the official OPPO Store you will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive photography masterclass held by photographer Paolo Raeli and to take advantage of the new Trade In service.
