“Computer in an input device“, this is the name of a patent filed by Apple in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and name never seems to be anymore appropriate and inviting. In the past, Apple has filed several patents for keyboards, some very imaginative ones, but this is the first one that reminds us of the fabulous 80s, with the VIC20 and Commodore 64.
The patent in question briefly describes a input device which should contain le components of a computer (guy Mac Mini) in order to reduce costs and dimensions.
According to the patent, such a device could be connected to an external display via a single I / O port and wirelessly coupled to a trackpad or to a mouse.
As with any patent pendingthis is very unlikely idea can ever see the light, but it still offers an interesting look at Apple’s ideas for the design of future Macs. And you, what do you think? Would you like Apple to make a Mac like this?
