Realme GT2 And Realme GT2 Pro arrive in Europe: the two new Android smartphones, unveiled in China at the beginning of the year, were also officially presented for the European market. Let’s find out together if anything has changed in the technical specifications and above all the prices and availability for Italy.
Realme GT2 and Realme GT2 Pro arrive in Europe
Realme GT2 and GT2 Pro confirm the features we saw a few weeks ago, with high-end specifications and a particularly refined design. The two smartphones were born from the collaboration with the well-known designer Naoto Fukasawa and are the first devices to be able to count on versions with biopolymers, with a 35.5% reduction in the ecological footprint. It took 12 months and 63 prototypes to develop this solution, made with a 0.1mm laser engraving process.
Smartphones share several characteristics, including memories, part of the photographic sector, connectivity and battery size (5000 mAh for both). However, some key specifications change, such as the AMOLED display (WQHD + and LTPO on the Pro) and the SoC (Snapdragon 888 for GT2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for GT2 Pro); differences also in the ultra-wide-angle sensor (which rises from 8 to 50 MP in the Pro) and in the front camera.
Realme GT2 Pro can count on a screen AMOLED LTPO 2.0 with adaptive refresh between 1 and 120 Hz, capable of saving up to 50% energy by providing maximum refresh rate only when needed. The panel, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, covers 100% of the P3 color gamut and offers a pixel density of 525 ppi, a maximum brightness of 1400 nits, a touch sampling rate of 1000 Hz and a contrast of 5,000. 000: 1.
The smartphone debuts the first ultra-wide-angle camera with 150 ° field of view and with fish-eye mode, thanks to the 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. The 40X Micro-lens Camera allows you to make “microscope” style magnification.
A couple of more are worth mentioning differences between Realme GT2 and GT2 Pro: a cooling system with a vapor chamber is integrated for both, but the Pro model can count on a 9-layer cooling structure (GT2 stops at 8); moreover GT2 has a HyperSmart Antenna Switching system, against the Antenna Array Matrix System of its big brother. The latter is able to take advantage of the 12 integrated antennas to automatically select the optimal one based on the signal strength.

On board smartphones, the Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12, complete with newly designed 3D icons, Fluid Space Design, Omoji, and improved privacy features (such as app permission control and location blanking). The Chinese manufacturer promises 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches for the new series.
Prices and release of Realme GT2 and Realme GT2 Pro in Italy
Realme GT2 Pro will be available for purchase in Italy from 8 March 2022 to price promotional price of 649 euros for the 8-128 GB version. The price list outside the launch period is 749 euros. Realme GT2 will instead be purchasable on offer starting from 449 euros.
