Blockchain company Bitfury announced the launch of a new crypto mining data center in Ontario, Canada. The new mining center adds to the list of existing Canadian sites, currently operating in Drumheller, Alberta and Medicine Hat.
Bitfury has partnered with Hut 8 Mining, a mining company from () listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, to establish mining operations in North America. The new crypto mining facility in Ontario is expected to operate at 16 megawatts by the end of this month.

Source: Hut 8 According to the announcement, Bitfury has plans to add 12 MW of capacity in the coming months, bringing the total capacity of the mining facility to 28 MW by the end of May. However, the company highlighted that the facility could potentially be upgraded to operate at 200 MW, more than seven times the current capacity.
