During the event held on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei wanted to pay particular attention to Super Device and its applications within the Smart Office. During the presentation, however, the company did not only talk about the various features and integrations present within its product ecosystem, but also showed new devices on which it will be possible to exploit all the potential of Super Device.
Let’s talk about Huawei MateBook X Pro, MateStation X, MateBook E, MatePad and MatePad Paper, all with full Super Device support. We anticipate that unfortunately, at least for the moment, most of these devices will not reach our market: the only one to arrive in Italy will be MatePad Paper, although we do not yet know the launch period and the price for our market; the only information available is the US price of $ 499.
Let’s start by talking about MateBook X Pro, the new top of the range among the company’s laptops. The design, technologies, user experience and hardware components have all been improved compared to the previous model: on board we find processors Intel Core U series 11th generation (Alder Lake will arrive later this year) and one 14.2 “screen (compared to 13.9 “of the previous model), with resolution 3120 x 2080 pixels (aspect ratio 3: 2), screen-to-body ratio of 92.5%, deltaE less than 1 both in the DCI-P3 space and in the sRGB, touchscreen and 90Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience.
The weight is contained, equal to only 1.38kg, while the Huawei Sound audio sector is entrusted to six speakers that guarantee an excellent listening experience. On board the MateBook X Pro we also find Free Touch Gesture, a function that allows users to manage the volume of the device, take pictures of the screen, record it and adjust its brightness with simple gestures.
Huawei MateBook E it is instead the first 2 in 1 with OLED screen, tailor-made for consumers who often need to work on the go, thanks also to a thickness of only 7.99mm and a weight of 709 grams. The device combines the advantages of classic laptops with those of tablets to meet different needs. The Real Color FullView screen is capable of showing a wide and precise color gamut, while the maximum brightness of 600 nit allows you to use the MateBook E anywhere, even in sunlight. The device obviously supports the M-Pencil second generation, which allows you to take notes by hand or draw directly on the screen, as well as the Smart Magnetic Keyboard,
Huawei MateStation X it is instead a PC all in one designed to be a hub of connectivity, with a minimalist design: the back has no visible ports and thanks to the dynamic hinge, users can easily adjust the angle and height of the monitor using just a finger. The PC is equipped with a 28.2 “display with 4K + resolution and 92% screen-to-body ratio, it also offers deltaE color accuracy of less than 1. The screen is also a touchscreen, with support for up to 10 touch points simultaneously.
During the event Huawei also showed MatePad, equipped with a 10.4 ″ FullView 2K display and an 84% screen-to-body ratio. The tablet is compatible with second generation M-Pencil and supports Huawei’s Free Script, Annotations and Take Snippet features to take notes quickly and comfortably, in addition there are several technologies that reduce the emission of blue light and help to avoid strain your eyes, even with prolonged use of the device. On board Huawei MatePad we find HarmonyOS 2which allows you to connect to other Huawei devices and make the most of the various features offered by Huawei Super Device.
We close with PixLab X1the first laser printer by Huawei. It is a multifunction capable of scanning, printing and copying documents, able to integrate with some elements of the Huawei ecosystem: it supports Pop-up Pairing, Tap to Print and Remote Printing, which facilitate the use of the printer from smartphones and Huawei tablet.
As anticipated, unfortunately the products will not arrive on the Italian market for the moment, but we can hope that over the months some products will also reach us.
