New updates on the Real Steel TV series
Recently interviewed on the microphones of Collider, Shawn explained that the works are still in an embryonic stage, but have already received a lot of requests from screenwriters. These are his words:
“We’ve had a lot of phone calls and have met with several writers before, hearing their ideas. Now we are trying to narrow down to find the right one because there are so many different ways of looking at this story. As soon as we have found the square of the circle, as they say, we will proceed with the mapping of the entire season. In any case, it is a very long process and I don’t think we will be able to shoot it this year ”.
The director then said he was really surprised by the enthusiasm shown by fans for a project dating back ten years ago. Real Steel grossed nearly $ 300 million at the global box office against a budget of $ 110 million, over time becoming a true cult item among fans.
Real Steel tells the story of Charlie Kenton is a former boxer who is faced with a futuristic society in which professional boxers have been replaced by giant robots fighting for their place in the ring.
His life changes when his ex-wife dies and he gains temporary custody of his son Max, who he had lost sight of. With him he will find and restore a very old model of robot-boxer that will prove to be a formidable weapon to make his way into the world of robotic boxing. In the cast there were also Anthony Mackie, Evangeline Lilly And Hope Davis.
