Nissan Leaf, small tweaks with the Model Year 2022

The Nissan Leaf was among the first electric cars for the mass market, a model that we have had the opportunity to test several times. The future of the Leaf has already been decided and we know that this sedan will be replaced by an electric crossover that should debut in 2025. Meanwhile, the Japanese brand has decided to touch up the Leaf. with the Model Year 2022. No technical changes but only some small design innovations. The powertrains, in fact, do not undergo any changes.

DESIGN AND INTERIORS


The automaker says the Leaf 2022 can count on the new Nissan logo on the rims, on the front grille and on the rear. In addition, new 16-inch and 17-inch wheels arrive, with elements of glossy black color. The Japanese brand has it as well expanded the range of colors available for this model. In particular, the new Universal Blue and Magnetic Blue colors arrive, in addition to those already available for the MY21.

No changes have been made to the interior of the Leaf where we always find the well-known NissanConnect infotainment system with 8-inch screen, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. From the second half of 2022 support will come to Amazon Alexa. On the ADAS front, we have the ProPILOT system which allows the car to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, to slow down until it stops and restart autonomously. In addition, the Leaf can rely on e-Pedal function which allows you to accelerate, decelerate and stop the car using only the accelerator pedal.

You can interact remotely with the car, for example to adjust the air conditioning a few minutes before getting into the car, thanks to the NissanConnect app. The Nissan Leaf Model Year 2022 is always available in the version with a 40 kWh battery and in the variant with a 62 kWh accumulator. The first is characterized by a 110 kW engine and a range of up to 270 km and the second for a 160 kW engine with a distance up to 385 km.

PRICES


Nissan announces that the Leaf Model Year 2022 can be ordered from April 2022. Speaking of pricesthe price list starts at 32,200 euros, but thanks to Nissan’s discount campaign it starts at 29,500 euros.
