POCO X3 Pro was launched on the market last year, offers excellent hardware for the price range in which it is positioned, it is a very complete device that manages to combine a premium design (thanks also to a large display with thin bezels ) with excellent performance. We have recommended it to you on several occasions, also thanks to some offers he enjoyed that allowed him to take it home with further economic savings, which never hurts. Today we make some considerations on his successor, expected for the current year, POCO X4 Pro 5G. As we have anticipated here, the device in question could presumably be a rebrand of a smartphone that we already know. We assess the situation.
Poco X4 Pro 5G could compromise compared to Poco X3 Pro
POCO X4 Pro 5G has already obtained the necessary certifications before marketing, a sign of a launch that shouldn’t belong. As a result, the regulatory authorities have released the model number of this device which, in the global version, has the code 2201116PG. It is interesting to note the similarity with the model code of another smartphone, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, which is always in its international version, has the model code 2201116SG. So it is more than legitimate to assume that POCO X4 Pro 5G is nothing more than a rebrand of Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
If this hypothesis were correct, the future POCO smartphone would have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a FULLHD + resolution, Snapdragon 695 processor, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal memory. It is also expected to have a 5000mAh battery with 67W charging, a 16MP front camera, and a 108MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear sensor.
At the moment there are no confirmations from POCO but a Redmi device with code 2201116SC has been certified at TENAA, this could mean, considering the numerical sequence of the code, that Poco X4 Pro 5G would be the global variant of the same smartphone. If all this were confirmed, it is clear that there are some sacrifices compared to POCO X3 Pro, especially from the point of view of possible performances.
