Pokmon Scarlet and Violet: pre-orders open on Amazon

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet they are fresh from the announcement, and now it’s time for hype, speculation, controversy, sensational fakes and dubious ones. And also pre-orders: yes, because if you have no doubts that you will also be slinging into the adventures of the ninth generation of Pokémon, then you can already make sure since the games are now available for pre-order on Amazon Italy at the price of 59 euros.

The release date has not yet been announced, but we know that the games will arrive in 2022 – It is probably between October and November, building on the latest iterations of the franchise’s core strand. In any case, we expect the classic Pokémon Direct in “zone E3”, so at the beginning of the summer, we can reveal the date chosen for the launch.

Okay, the graphics are not the best in this round too, but at least compared to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the color palette seems appropriate, lively, and the visual impact is consequently more pleasant. And then Game Freak at least is working to renew the textures of the Pokémon, taking a more realistic approach (the scales of Seviper, that’s right).

The real appeal of the ninth generation titles, however, is to offer theat first, true open world experience of the Pokémon universe. Legends: Arceus is open-area, and Sword and Shield are games on rails with the Wilderness (wasteland, more than anything else) in between with nothing to discover, and only creatures to capture.

Here, on the other hand, the official site speaks explicitly of cities and nature that “merge into a world without borders“and, if that’s still not enough, say”open world adventure“. Clearer than that. Then, of course, it will be necessary to see how these assumptions translate into gameplay, and the outcome is not to be taken for granted considering that Arceus’ fast and lean capture system seems to give way to the only and usual traditional option. of the battle, for example.

Choosing now between Scarlet and Violet is not easy: as always, the two versions will be differentiated by a different pool of Pokémon, starting with the legendary cover, and probably other features, which historically are rather lateral though. But get to know: after all, for the first time in the history of the franchise the two variants of the same adventure are not presented with the same font, but use a different one. Scarlatto’s has a more classic and antiqued look, while violet’s obviously has a more modern cut, with somewhat spatial vibrations.

It is therefore believed that in this round the differences could be more marked than usual: after all we have seen that the protagonists seem to belong to a different “school” depending on the version chosen, complete with different uniforms. Of course, now it is impossible to say more: in any case once the pre-order is placed, it will take little to switch from one version to another.
