Sony is expected to introduce Xperia 1 IV soon and as often happens, the renderings of the smartphone were leaked before the launch. The images that emerged today show a device with similar characteristics to the Sony Xperia 1 III predecessor presented last year.
Here’s what Sony Xperia 1 IV could look like
The renders published by the well-known informant OnLeaks feature a metal frame, a glass back, the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a button to take pictures along the edge.
Judging by the images Sony Xperia 1 IV could be available in the two color options of matte greenish and black.
According to previous rumors, Sony’s next flagship smartphone is expected to measure 164.7 × 70.8 × 8.3mm and being slightly thicker (around 9.5mm) it should be powered by a larger capacity battery.
According to the latest rumors Sony Xperia 1 IV will retain the 3.5 mm audio jack and triple rear cameras, including the telephoto lens, but it is not certain if the latter will be similar to that of the previous model.
Sony has already confirmed that it will launch new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-based Xperia smartphones, so this chipset is likely to be the heart of the Xperia 1 IV.
It is likely that more details will arrive in the coming weeks on this smartphone which will become official at the beginning of the second quarter of 2022.
Details about its little brother Sony Xperia 5 IV were also leaked last week, particularly those regarding the chipset.
