Horizon Forbidden West mentions God of War, did you notice?

It is not rare that the developers decide to include certain quotes or easter eggs in some video games and Guerrilla Games, with Horizon Forbidden West, is no exception. The Dutch development team has in fact decided to insert a sort of tribute to the new God of War, which debuted in 2018 and was developed by Santa Monica.

In this particular case, the gift inserted is really well studied, since it develops on several levels: in Horizon Forbidden West in fact you come across a sort of treasure hunt, which includes two wooden idols modeled on the features of Brok and Sindri, two characters from the new God of War. The players will then have to hunt down two Totems: one representing Kratos, called the Totem of War and the other representing Atreus, called the Totem of Youth. The reward for completing this treasure hunt? Two splendid gifts.

In fact, if you thought that you have already seen everything, you will have to change your mind. The other two Easter eggs are much more elaborate and complex. The first is a face paint for Aloy, which will make the protagonist very similar to Kratos. The second is the wooden house where the 2018 game begins and is obviously recreated in a very faithful way to the original. If you don’t know how to unlock these particular easter eggs, we leave you one video a little further down which will help you in your search: obviously the video contains spoilers, so view it at your own risk.
