The new edition of the Toyota GR Yaris Rally Cup 2022 which for this year foresees six dates. Challenges will take place only on asphalted surfaces between the famous Targa Florio, passing through the Piedmontese Langhe, also considering participation in the Rally di Roma Capitale, the Rally 1000 Miglia and the Rally “Città di Modena”. The last challenge will take place on Lake Como.
To give life to the new season, the Toyota GR Yaris (also developed as a hydrogen prototype) will bring a new sequential five-speed gearbox, a 1.6 turbo 3-cylinder 261 HP engine, the ECU Racing engine control unit, the differential Torsen mechanical and two-way adjustable shock absorbers. Who, at the end of the season, will have won the most points in the standings, will see deliver the prize money of € 250,000.
The presence of Matteo Bobbi, former TGR ambassador of the 2021 edition, is confirmed and enriched by the presence of a second well-known face in the world of motors. It is about Fabio Di Giannantonio, young promise of motorcycling, making his debut this year in the premier class of MotoGP. The two will have the opportunity to accompany the TGR fans along the championship appointments, interacting with each other and telling the curiosities, secrets and emotions behind the wheel. Fabio di Giannantonio, in fact, will take part in one of the Championship races aboard the official TGR Italia car.
