It’s official: Deadline announced the Beyblade live-action moviefranchise created by Takara Tomy! Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure, Top Gun) And Paramount they are producing the film while Neil Widener And Gavin James they’re writing the script. No other information has leaked so we just have to wait for new developments.
Beyblade: the franchise
Takara Tomy launched the original game franchise in 1999, which was then licensed by several toy companies including Hasbro. In Italy Beyblade it was broadcast for the first time on April 5, 2003 on Italia 1, with great success. The franchise also includes an anime film that takes place chronologically between the end of the second series and the beginning of the third and a manga series (Bakuten Shūto Beiburēdo) written by Takao Aoki and published in the journal CoroCoro Comic starting from September 1999 until July 2004.
