Since the first announcement by Intel relating to its gaming video cards there was a lot of curiosity about it, also to know their actual performance and find out in which market segment they would be placed.
Well, after a long wait, now we can finally find out what the technical specifications of the entire range of Intel DG2 GPUs. It was to reveal them SiSoftwarewho was also able to preview the card entry level of the ARC family, the A380of which he also carried out a kind of review.
The specifications of the A380 see 128 CU and 1,204 2.45 GHz stream processor, 16 tensor cores, 6 GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 192 GB / s and a TDP of only 75 W. Below you can find a table with the specifications of the whole ARC range.
As for the tests, however, they were made on Windows 10 and using only OpenGL applications, therefore, the performance of the various games has not been taken into consideration at the moment. In all, seven benchmarks were run, including:
- Bandwidth;
- Vector performance;
- Image processing;
- Scientific analysis;
- Financial analysis;
- Encryption;
- Hashing.
From the tests it can be seen how the board from Intel is often defeated in comparison with Nvidia’s RTX 3050 and GTX 1660Ti GPUs, while it manages to beat the Radeon RX 6500 XT in various situations.
According to SiSoftware, the ARC A380 is competitive when compared to the other cards examined, and while not expecting a GPU capable of beating its competitors Nvidia and AMD, it recognizes the effort made and defines it an “ok for the price, but nothing special” cardgiving it a final grade of 7/10. Additionally, improved performance with better optimized drivers is expected to coincide with the official release. Still nothing about pricing, but the new low-end Intel card should cost $ 199, about € 175 at current exchange rates.
