The range of the Porsche Macan has registered an important novelty in this first quarter of 2022. It is not the electric variant, intended to complement and then replace the current SUV. In fact, there is now room for the new one in the price list Porsche Macan T. This variant represents an intermediate proposal between the basic Macan and the Macan S. The T alongside the model name stands for “Touring“, A name already used in the past by Porsche to indicate sporty but not extreme models. The new version of the German SUV integrates a turbocharged petrol engine without electrification. It is a four-cylinder 2.0 turbo able to guarantee a maximum power of 265 CV with a maximum drive torque of 400 Nm. The engine is combined with the 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox and four-wheel drive. The engine, nearly 60 kilograms lighter than the Macan’s V6, pushes the SUV up to 232 km / h maximum speed. The shot 0-100 km / h it is completed, instead, in 6.2 seconds.
From a technical point of view, the new Porsche Macan T includes suspension with electronically controlled adjustable PASM shock absorbers which have springs lowered by 15 mm. Among the options of the model there is the possibility to focus on adaptive air suspension with PASM and go to lower the body of the SUV by another 10 mm. Note, however, the bodywork of the Porsche Macan T includes elements in Agate gray metallic that make the project distinguishable, together with the Macan T logo.
The new Porsche Macan T can already be ordered in all Porsche dealerships and is offered at a price of 73,274 euros with an increase of just over 6 thousand euros compared to the basic version of the Macan. Deliveries will start in May.
