The range of OnePlus smartphones is preparing to record another novelty over the next few months after the presentation of theOnePlus 10 Pro and the very recent OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. Once again, the Nord range will record the debut of a new component, the still unreleased OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. The smartphone has already been the protagonist of some rumors over the last few weeks.

Today, however, a new leak anticipates what the design of the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite also going to shed light on some central elements of the data sheet such as the presence of a SoC Qualcomm. The smartphone will be positioned below the new Nord CE 2 5G (available in Italy from 359 euros) represent the new entry level proposal of the OnePlus range. Let’s see the details:

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: design revealed by a first image

The new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is preparing for its debut. Waiting for its official presentation, the insider Yogesh Brar in collaboration with Pricebaba shows us, in preview, what the design of the new smartphone will be. According to the attached image below, the smartphone should feature a module for cameras similar to that of the Nord CE 2 5G but with a different sensor arrangement.

The image shows us two larger sensors and a smaller one with an arrangement that resembles, even if with an inverted positioning, that of some smartphones OPPO as the Find X3 Pro. There is also space for an LED flash in the photo sensor module. It should also be noted that the image confirms the presence of the inevitable OnePlus logo in the center of the body. The corners of the smartphone are rounded.

On one of the edges is the power button which should also integrate the fingerprint sensor. At the moment, there are no confirmations regarding the front of the smartphone. The source points out that the display should have a hole for the front chamber. We will undoubtedly know more on this issue over the next few days.

The specifications of the new smartphone from OnePlus

The rumors about the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite have been circulating for some time even if, at least for the moment, official confirmations have not yet arrived. The smartphone should feature a 6.58-inch display with Full HD + resolution (the Nord CE 2 stops at 6.43 inches). It should be noted, however, that the panel will not be AMOLED, as on the latest addition to the Nord range, but a unit IPS LCD, a detail that underlines the cheaper nature of the project. The refresh will be from 120 Hz.

To manage the operation of the smartphone, as already confirmed by previous leaks, there will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The chipset will be paired with various configurations of RAM (LPDDR4x) and storage (UFS 2.1). The base model should have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the top model will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Intermediate configurations are also possible.

As for the photographic sector, one of the two larger sensors shown in the image attached above will include a 64 Megapixel sensor with aperture f / 1.79. The sensor is expected to be manufactured by OmniVision. The other two sensors will be 2 Megapixel (one for macro and one for depth of field). The front camera will be 16 Megapixel (Sony IMX471 sensor).

To complete the technical specifications of the project we will find one 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging support limited to 33 W (there will therefore be no 65 W SUPERVOOC recharge seen on the North CE 2).

Price and availability

The new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is expected to debut in the month of March. At the moment, it is not clear what the smartphone marketing markets will be which, in any case, could carve out its space also in Europe. In the event of a possible European debut, the selling price will be less than 359 euros for the Nord CE 2 5G. We can, therefore, hypothesize a starting price list below 300 euros. We will know more in the coming weeks.
