Although Samsung is quite busy with the launch of One UI 4.0, the company is already thinking about the next firmware version. Today it emerged that the South Korean giant has started developing the update One UI 4.1.
The new version of the interface has entered development for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and although it is not an update of the main version, this update should introduce some new features, in addition to the usual improvements.
One UI 4.1 for Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected later this year
Samsung has started testing the One UI 4.1 update for Galaxy S21 Ultra with the firmware version G998U1UEU5CVA4. Of course it’s just a trial version at the moment and the build number will be different when it’s released as stable.
Samsung just released One UI 4.0 on eligible devices introducing several cosmetic improvements and new features, but it is currently not known exactly what One UI 4.1 might bring and not even when Samsung plans to launch it.
However, it cannot be excluded that the new version of the One UI may debut with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series, to land on the Galaxy S21 range at a later time, perhaps in the second half of this year.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is one of the company’s best flagship smartphones and was the first to receive the stable version of Android 12 with One UI 4.0.
