The confirmation of the first events of the Napoli Comicon 2022 arrives that we remember will take place from 22 to 25 April next. These are three major events involving cinema, comics and series.
The first events of the Napoli Comicon 2022
We start with Torn along the edges – live music show with Zerocalcare, Giancane and The Last. For the first time since the release on Netflix of Strappare along the edges – the animated series by Zerocalcare, produced by Movimenti in collaboration with BAO Publishing – Giancane, who signed the soundtrack, and Gli Ultimi, authors of one of the songs, will play on the same stage in an event that will merge music, comics and animation. Zerocalcare will be the architect of this fusion by combining the two live performances with a talk in which we will talk about the role that music has played in the creation of his stories, how it was to work on the soundtrack of a TV series and incredible success that ensued. Always Sunday 24 April, will be a guest of the event Krista Kosonen, Finnish actress known and loved for her performance in Beforeigners, a fantasy-crime revelation series by HBO and available in Italy on Raiplay, for the lead role in the erotic black comedy Dogs don’t wear pants and, among other things, for having starred in Blade Runner 2049. The actress will premiere the tv series Mister 8, awarded at Canneseries – Cannes International Series Festival as Best Series, the screening of the first two episodes. Mister 8 will be available in Italy from 3 May 2022 exclusively on the IWONDERFULL Prime Video Channel.
Davide Toffolo, Magister of Napoli Comicon 2022, will take care of a series of cultural activities within the festival program. The first is the exhibition Davide Toffolo presents: The present life. Adolescence in contemporary Italian comics.
What are the challenges of adolescence today? The impulses and energy, as well as the fatigue and emotional abysses of the “middle age” will be at the center of an unprecedented exhibition that tries to investigate the representation of adolescence in contemporary Italian comics, through a review of works created by ten authors: Alessandro Baronciani, Percy Bertolini, Fumettibrutti, Lorenzo Ghetti, Roberta «Joe1» Muci, Sara Pichelli, Ratigher, Luca Tieri, Miguel Vila, Zerocalcare.
Davide Toffolo since the nineties has established himself as a point of reference for the ability to put the point of view of adolescence at the center in numerous songs and graphic novels. On this occasion, in the role of Magister of Comicon committed to opening new gazes on the future talents of comics, Toffolo proposes a selection of authors he has read and appreciated, chosen from both already established artists who have redefined the representation of adolescence in ‘ last decade, both among emerging authors who offer new perspectives to the story of youth.
Davide Toffolo is also the voice and guitar of the band Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti. The Three Allegri Ragazzi Morti will be guests of the Napoli Comicon 20222 on Monday 25 April for the closing event of the event: a live concert where they will present the songs from the new album out in 2022.
