‘The second generation of smartwatches of the Chinese brand arrives with a year of detachment from the previous one: Vivo Watch 2 was unveiled a few hours ago together with ViVo S12 Pro during a presentation event.
In terms of design, Vivo Watch 2 looks like a classic smart watch with a circular dial. The case is made of 316L stainless steel and rubber strap, flexible and comfortable to use – but there is also a version with a strap made of genuine leather. The strap is equipped with a Japanese buckle, an element that confirms the desire to be suitable for casual and formal use, despite the sporting features of this smartwatch.
The display is a panel 1.43 inch AMOLED which takes up the entire top surface of the 46mm case, but there is also a 42mm model. Given its size, it is a gadget that is more suited to a male than female audience. A dual-core setup it is used for the operation of ViVo Watch 2: in its heart beats an ST processor for the most energy-intensive tasks and an Apollo chip for the processes that do not require too much power.
There internal memory is 2GB, useful for saving music locally. Despite the classic design, this smartwatch from I live it is also suitable for sports thanks to the tracking of 47 sports and water resistance up to 5 ATM. There is also a more than complete set of sensors with:
- optical sensor for detecting the beat;
- blood oxygenation level sensor;
- accelerometer;
- gyroscope;
- altitude and atmospheric pressure sensor;
- geomagnetic sensor;
- ambient light sensor;
- sensor NFC for contactless payments.
Connectivity allows you to use an LTE cellular connection via eSIM, while Bluetooth 5.2 LE is available for connection with smartphones and other devices. To track the position there is support for GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BeiDou networks.
There are microphone and speaker for voice call support, while the 478mAh battery promises up to 18 days of use. For the 42 mm model, the battery is 226 mAh, which is sufficient for an autonomy of 9 days according to the company.
The Vivo Watch 2 smartwatch will be sold in three colors: black, white and silver. The launch price is 1,299 Yuan, just over 180 euros at the exchange rate, while for the eSIM version 1,699 Yuan are needed, about 236 euros.
