Today’s Xiaomi event officially unveiled three new Android smartphones, exactly as expected in the previous weeks: it is Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, And Xiaomi 12X, high-end and medium-high-end devices with different sizes (the first and third more compact, much less the second) and with captivating specifications. Let’s find out all the details and prices released by the Chinese house.
Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro official: here are technical specifications and features
Xiaomi 12 is the most compact of the new pair of high-end smartphones with its 6.28 inches Full-HD + (2400 x 1800 pixels), while the Pro model is designed for those with the largest pockets (in every sense) with its 6.73 inches 2K (3200 x 1440 pixels): in both cases, we have a screen Samsung AMOLED at 120 Hz (LTPO 2.0 with variable refresh from 1 to 120 Hz for the Pro) with integrated fingerprint sensor and Gorilla Glass Victus.
The heart of Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro is the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, accompanied by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory depending on the version. According to the Chinese manufacturer, it brings improvements of 30% in terms of graphics and 25% in terms of energy efficiency.
The other differences between the two models, size and a screen diagonal aside, can be found in the photographic sector: Xiaomi 12 offers a Sony IMX766 50 MP main sensor (1 / 1.56 ″ and 2.0 μm pixels with OIS), a 13 MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 5 MP tele-macro sensor.
Xiaomi 12 Pro has three 50 MP sensors: the main one is a Sony IMX707 (1 / 1.28 ″ and 2.44 μm pixels) and is flanked by two JN1 sensors, one ultra-wide angle (115 °) and one 2x tele. All three can count on Night Mode, with an algorithm designed to give the best in low-light shots.
Different, both in capacity and in charging technology, the batteries: Xiaomi 12 offers 4500 mAh with 67 W wired fast charging, 50 W wireless and 10 W reverse wireless, Xiaomi 12 reaches up to 4600 mAh (single-cell) with fast charging wired 120W and wireless 50W.
