For Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra the time has come for the JerryRigEverything durability tests: the American YouTuber has subjected the most prestigious device of the Chinese manufacturer’s 2020 range to the now-classic triptych of scratch, burn and bend test – probably just a few weeks after the presentation of the heir. The device gets along very well: the ceramic back cover protects the smartphone well from scratches, while of course on the display side everything is as expected.
The burn test is a bit of a surprise, because the part of the display exposed to the flame resets quickly after just a few moments – typical behavior of LCD displays, while OLEDs usually remain damaged forever. Finally, the bend test: despite the possible concern about the structural weakening of the immense camera module, Mi 11 Ultra flexes just a little, in both directions, without however reporting permanent damage.
