Steam: The next sales may not be for you

The next Steam sale paradoxically, they could push you not to let you spend a single euro. As reported by PC Gamer, in fact, Valve will launch its next wave of discounts dedicated only to a very particular genre, namely that of Japanese role-playing games, more commonly known as JRPG.

Valve’s announcement came via a Steamworks Development page, where all the news about Steam are revealed in advance. These new sales will focus on “games built around the JRPG style in terms of mechanics and gameplay”. A definition perhaps a little too vague, but it is very likely that most of the discounted products will come directly from Japan. It is also not excluded that pre-order games coming from Japan are discounted, as maybe Ghostwire Tokyo.

Furthermore, to participate in these sales, it is not necessary to make any type of discount. Translated? During the event, Steam will give ample space to products with a discount applied but products without any type of offer will also be visible. This is not the first time this has happened: if you are a PC player, you will have already noticed that in the pages relating to a particular wave of discounts there are also products that do not actually have any type of discount applied. But surely it is an excellent showcase for all the smaller developers, who will have one more opportunity to bring their titles to the light of fans of the genre.

If you are interested in this wave of discounts, we inform you that Valve has already announced the dates for the next discount period. As announced by the company, Steam will host the JRPG game discount series from 14 to 21 March: just a week, therefore, as often happens for this type of operation.
