What car to buy in 2022? Here is our top 3!

The automotive sector closed 2021 below expectations and is betting everything on the new year less conditioned by problems such as the limited availability of chips that has so far conditioned the production of new vehicles.

To whet the fantasies of motorists, some models already in the price list have been introduced, and others we will see in the coming months, which make us dream for their high volumes, others, however, are reserved only for a lucky few.

The main theme of the 2022 car news will be the SUV / crossover bodywork that will depopulate the market, especially focused on where the demand from users is greater, therefore medium and compact segments.

As for the power supplies of the new cars, also considering the need for manufacturers to reduce emissions, 100% hybrids and electric will prevail; there will be some rare thermals.

Let’s now see our top 3 of 2022!

Dacia Jogger

Wanting to draw up a top 3 of the most interesting news, we give first place to the Dacia Jogger, the seven-seater crossover that was presented at the Munich Motor Show, and that we will be able to find on the Italian market in February. The dealerships will offer it with the 110 horsepower 1.0 TCe turbo petrol engine, but it will also be available with dual fuel LPG Eco-G / petrol but with 10 less horsepower. In both variants, there will be a manual six-speed gearbox. We will see the price from the list starting from 15,000 euros.

Kia Sportage

Also, the month of February will see the new Kia Sportage arrive which, designed for the European market, has superior technology compared to the previous variant. Inside the cockpit, we find the double 12.3 ā€¯curved display for infotainment and instrumentation. The hybrid engines include the 265 horsepower Phev plug-in and the 13.8 kW battery. For the full hybrid version, the horses are 230 while in the mild-hybrid we go from 150 or 180 horses. All versions use the 1.6 T-Gdi as a thermal unit. You can also opt for the 136 hp 1.6-liter mild hybrid diesel with 7-speed automatic transmission and double-clutch or 6-speed manual transmission.

Maserati Grecale

Expected for 2021, the Maserati Grecale will make its debut this spring even if there is no certain date yet.

The medium SUV of the Trident will have a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine, which will be combined with a 48 Volt mild hybrid system, its power will be 330 hp. For the most powerful model, the Trofeo, we have to understand whether we will opt for the V6 Nettuno which was already used on the MC20, or the V6 2.9 Biturbo found on the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Both the rear-wheel drive and the integral version will be presented in the showrooms, but in the future, the 100% electric model signed by Folgore is also expected, which will have a 3-unit propulsion scheme, of which two will be mounted on the rear axle.
